The Evidence

If "Religion is the Opiate of the Masses," Science is the Opiate of the Intellectual Classes.

Do you really believe you're an Evolving Ape, or that God will Take Your Call? It's time to end this destructive conflict. It is the root cause of all of humanity's holy wars, holocausts, jihads, violent atheistic revolutions, and the radicalization of liberal vs. conservative politics.

Satan: Truth vs. Myth

Ding, Dong, The Wicked Witch Is Dead

In the classic movie The Wizard Of Oz, there is a scene where little Dorothy sprinkles the Wicked Witch with water, causing her to melt and disappear. When the people of Oz hear this, they all break into joyous song, proclaiming their liberation from the tyrannical reign of this despicable character.

In AD70, the second coming of Messiah destroyed Satan and his minions, and all communication with the biblical and pagan gods ceased. Shortly after, their sophisticated knowledge was lost, and the advanced civilization of the ancient world began to decline. At that point, humans were left alone on the earth in the deep ignorance of the dark ages between the ancient and modern world.

It is recorded in the history of ancient Israel that the purpose of Messiah was to destroy the works of Satan.

…..For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8.

This verse provides us with the precise reason why “the Son of God” came to the earth. As we proceed, you will see that the mission of the Messiah was to destroy both Satan and his works.

The obvious question is: what were “the works of Satan?”

The Bible records a confrontation between Satan and the Almighty God, over the corruption of Adam and Eve in Eden. In His reprimand, God told Satan that as punishment for this, and other rebellious acts, He would destroy him, and give mankind his place as ruler of the earth. An incident in the New Testament provides the key to understanding Satan’s role in the ancient world. In the year A.D. 30, realizing that his day of reckoning with the Almighty God was near, Satan tried to bribe Jesus. In an effort to entice the Messiah to join his rebellion against God, on the third attempt, Satan made a highly revealing proposition.

And the devil, taking him up into a high mountain, showed unto him all the kingdoms of the (ancient) world in a moment of time.
And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will give it.
If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. Luke 4:5-8

There are two very important aspects to these verses. First, Satan shows Jesus all the kingdoms of the ancient world and offers to give them to him. These were the kingdoms and empires of Egypt, Rome, Assyria, Persia, Babylon, Greece, Incas, and Mayans etc. It is important to note that in verse six Satan claimed to have dominion over those civilizations. It is equally telling that Jesus didn’t challenge his claim. Second, we must ask ourselves why a being as powerful as Satan would feel constrained to lay all of the glorious wealth and power of the ancient world at the feet of a lowly Jewish carpenter? Obviously, Satan knew that Jesus was the promised Messiah. He was desperately trying to make a deal to stave off his rapidly approaching confrontation with God, for his corruption of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. *See Gen. 3:1-24, 2 Cor. 4:4, John. 14:30, Eph. 2:2.

It is prophesied in both the Old and New Covenants that Messiah would destroy Satan, and the meek [humans] would inherit his place as the preeminent beings of the earth.

….that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. Heb. 2:14 & 15.

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Mat. 5:5

Thousands of years earlier, the great King David spoke of a time when the wicked forces who ruled the earth would be destroyed, and all humanity would rejoice as they received dominion over the planet.

King David’s wonderful prophecy is recorded in the book of Psalms:

For evildoers [Satan’s minions] shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked [Satan] shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider [seek] his place, and it shall not be [found.] But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Psalm 37:9-11.

I have seen the wicked [Satan] in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.
Yet he passed away, and, lo, he [was] not: yea I sought him, but he could not be found. Psalm 37:35 & 36.

Can there be a better explanation for the collapse of the ancient world than the one given by David in verses nine and eleven? Clearly, the evil forces who ruled that world were cut off, and humans did inherit the earth. Is there a better description of modern scientists as they try to understand who was responsible for building the great pyramids and temples of the ancients, than the one given in verse ten? Do they not diligently consider who was responsible for these supernatural creations and find no one?

Historical records, artifacts, and ruins of the ancient world, reveal that supernatural beings used immeasurable wealth and sophisticated intelligence to place advanced civilizations on every continent of the globe. When speaking of these powerful beings, Messiah said:

When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. Luke 11:21-22.

In this verse, Jesus states that he is going to overcome the powerful forces who ruled the ancient world, and redistribute their wealth. “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” Mat. 5:5

When visiting the temple in Jerusalem; Messiah makes it perfectly clear, precisely when this cataclysmic event would occur.

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Mat. 24:1-3.

In these verses, Messiah ties his second coming and the “end of the [ancient] world” to the destruction of the temple. The temple in Jerusalem was destroyed to the very foundation stones in AD70.

Jesus then proceeds to tell them to be ready to flee Judea.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Mat. 24:15-22.

In the second verse of this quote, Jesus warns his disciples to be ready to flee “Judaea.” Judaea was a province of the Roman Empire, it no longer exists. Consequently, the fulfillment of this prophecy is time-locked to the existence of ancient Rome. It is not possible for Messiah’s prophecy to be fulfilled in the modern world.

Messiah then reveals to them the terrible tribulations that would precede the destruction of the temple. They include a civil war among the Jews that would turn father against son, and instigate a war with Rome. These wars would cause a terrible famine that would be followed by an infestation of pestilence, the temple would be destroyed to the foundation stones, and Jerusalem would be left utterly desolate. See Mat. 24:1-51

It is recorded in the historical chronologies of both the Jewish historian Josephus, and the Roman historian Tacitus, that all of these horrific tragedies coincided with the destruction of the temple and fall of Jerusalem, in AD70. In addition, they both recorded eyewitness accounts of a great battle of supernatural forces in the sky above Jerusalem. Was this the prophesied Battle of Armageddon?

Shortly after, all communication with the biblical and pagan gods ceased, the ancient world system collapsed, and “Humans Inherited the Earth” in the dark ages of the early modern world.

Jesus then proceeds to tell them that all of his ominous prophecies would be fulfilled in their lifetime.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Mat. 24:32-34.

Some theologians try to assert that the term “this generation” refers to the future. That is not possible; because, in verses 1-3, Jesus Himself ties this cataclysmic event to the destruction of the temple that stood in Jerusalem at that very time. Precisely as foretold by Messiah, that temple was destroyed in AD70.

These prophecies are an exact description of the fall of the gods, and subsequent rise of man to rule the earth. There can be no disputing their accuracy, or fulfillment. So why have we failed to delight ourselves in the abundance of peace promised by King David? The answer is ignorance. Our failure to recognize the importance of the fall of the gods and collapse of the ancient world has prevented us from experiencing the peace foretold by David. Instead of celebrating Satan’s demise, we act as though the evil forces, who reigned in antiquity, continue to rule the modern world. We then seek evidence for that delusion in the “evil behavior” of those whom we fear. One of the central themes of this website has been how those fears have caused us to mistrust the motives of our fellow-man, because we perceive them to be satanic. As we have seen, once an adversary is tainted with that stigma, all the restraints of human compassion are abandoned for the overriding goal of destroying such evil. Unfortunately, no single blood bath, no matter how genocidal, can ever absolve an enemy’s “demonic” offspring; therefore, the jihad, crusade or holy war, goes on ad infinitum.

Humanity’s unfounded fear of “evil,” is most apparent in the modern state of Israel. Islamic terrorists are so afraid of the “satanic” Israelis that they are willing to become human bombs, in order to eliminate some of these “demons” as they ride to work on Jerusalem buses. As if that weren’t bizarre enough, heads of state like Yitzhak Rabin, who suggest that we seek the peace spoken of by David, are declared to be demonic by their fellow Jews, and targeted for assassination in their own country. It is a truly poignant tragedy that Prime Minister Rabin’s murder took place on the very soil where mankind was liberated from the real demonic forces that tyrannically ruled the earth in the ancient world. Two thousand years later, we are still fighting these anachronistic battles.

In his epistle to the Romans, the Apostle Paul revealed precisely when Messiah would destroy Satan:

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. Rom. 16:20 (NIV)

The Greek word “tachos” translated “soon” in this verse implies a very short period of time. Strong’s Greek Concordance #5084, renders the word “tachos:” as; with haste, speedily, quickly, shortly. The Divinely Inspired, Holy Spirit Filled, Apostle Paul, told his disciples in Rome, that the demise of Satan was imminent.

Satan is Dead The only place he still rules, is in the fear-filled minds and beliefs of the religious.

The Knowledge of Good and Evil
In Genesis chapter two, God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden, and told him not to take the knowledge of good and evil. If you wanted your children to know the difference between good and evil, where would you take them to acquire that knowledge?  Do religions teach that knowledge? Do the liberal atheists in academia declare their adversaries to be evil, racist, homophobes, and deplorable bigots? Do these intellectuals divide us between good and evil? Did that knowledge cause all of the holy wars, holocausts, jihads and violent atheistic revolution of history? Is it not the root cause of atheistic and religious violence? Do religious terrorists justify their genocidal acts of violence as eliminating evil? Is it time to stop calling those with whom we disagree “Evil.” Think about it.

Jesus said:

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

There are over thirty thousand conflicting denominations of Christianity. Judaism, Islam, and Atheism, are similarly divided. They all tell each other that they are wrong about God, and all have a history of violence.
